Where the situation calls for it, our drivers are security trained and briefed alongside the protection detail, so the vehicle is part of the plan rather than an afterthought.

A residency is not a booking. It is a week — or a whole season — in which the mountain has already been arranged around you. Passes, instructors, guides, tables and vehicles are in place before you land, and quietly rebuilt overnight when the weather changes its mind.

What fills those days is entirely yours. First tracks at eight with a guide who already knows which face held the snow overnight, then a three-hour lunch at altitude because nobody is watching the clock. A board offsite that happens to sit at two and a half thousand metres, with a room, a screen and a helicopter to have everyone back down for dinner. A family of five where three ski hard, one takes a private lesson until noon and one never leaves the village — and all five are looked after properly.

Behind that sits a fixed spine that never moves: a chalet with its own chef and household team, drivers on call from first lift to last table, equipment fitted and passes issued before arrival, a guide roster held from the autumn, and a considered answer for weather, injury and the flight home. Off-piste, touring and heli-drops are arranged wherever conditions and permits allow. Evenings run from a chef's table at the chalet to the last table in town, whichever the party is in the mood for.

The programme bends around the party. The logistics behind it do not.

A charter is a matching exercise long before it is a booking. We begin with the party — how many aboard, how the days should run, whether the point is toys and dive kit or dinner at anchor — and work back to the vessel: motor or sail, length and layout, tender inventory, and above all the crew, because a yacht is only ever as good as the captain and the chef running it.

We work the fleet on and off the open market: yachts that never reach the public lists, and calendars that open quietly and late. Mediterranean through the summer, Caribbean and the Bahamas through the winter, with the Indian Ocean, South Pacific and Asia open to anyone who plans far enough ahead. Where a week is built around an event — Monaco, Cannes, a regatta — the berth matters as much as the boat, and berths are held early rather than chased late.

Everything either side of the passerelle is ours as well. Menus and preferences briefed before you board, provisioning to match, cars and tables waiting in each port, helicopter transfers between legs, protection aboard where it is wanted, and the contract, APA and paperwork handled somewhere you never have to look.

Concierge is the thread running through everything else. One team, one point of contact and a standing brief on how you like things done, so that a request rarely has to be explained twice and never has to be explained from the beginning.

It covers what the sections above do not: the table at two hours' notice, the ticket that had gone, the gift that has to arrive by morning, the visa, the vet, the cellar, the car that needs to be in another country by Friday. Much of it is small. Almost none of it is convenient. All of it is handled without a running commentary.

We answer at the hour it is sent, wherever in the world that falls. And on the rare occasion something genuinely cannot be done, we say so early — which is always worth more than a promise that quietly fails.
